James attended Bretton Hall from 1995 to 1998, studying Theatre Design & Technology.
He is currently Director of The Quarry Theatre and Bedford Festival Fringe, for which work he was recently honoured with an MBE.
He says, “All the work on display was produced during lock-down. I hadn’t put paint brush to paper since 1997!
“Most of the paintings are inspired by the online artist explosion that occurred during the pandemic.
“The misty lake and forest paintings use dry brush techniques commonly seen in the works of David R Smith (also an inspiration!).”
