“Nubble Light”

Nubble Light, in Maine. I’ve already painted it – twice – before, in watercolour. This time it’s getting the full blown oils on large canvas treatment. The photo I’m using for reference was taken on our last holiday before lockdown, when we toured New England for three weeks in September 2019.
I’ve made several paintings with lighthouses in them – they’re fascinating structures often with romantic stories attached.
