This is the fourth painting in my ‘Skies’ series. When I started the series, I planned to do six paintings, although I knew the subjects of only the first two. They are all relatively small (for me – about half the size of what I normally paint) and, so far, two have been painted alla prima, and two over two sessions.
I’m pleased with this one because I was able to get the look I was after pretty much at the first attempt, rather than having to do it over until it was right. Progress!
