On a recent break in Devon, I took my french easel in the hope I’d get chance to do some painting. For a couple of reasons, the only opportunity I got was to set up my easel in the car park of where I was staying and paint a picture of it: The Old Forge, in Totnes.
The owner was pleased – they bought the painting!
